VITURE Beast XR Glasses

The VITURE Beast is the widescreen flagship of VITURE’s Luma-generation lineup, and its review record centers on one headline claim: the widest field of view in consumer XR glasses. This review aggregates that coverage from Impulse Gamer, Gaming Nexus, ZDNET’s Matthew Miller, and other reviewers, alongside VITURE’s published specifications. AR Compare has not performed hands-on testing of this device; every observation below is attributed to the cited sources, and the category scores are an editorial aggregate of cited reviewer sentiment. Product facts were cross-checked against AR Compare’s spec record for the Beast (dual Sony Micro-OLED, a recorded 58-degree field of view on a 174-inch virtual screen, 1,250 nits, roughly 88 grams, 3DoF tracking, $549).

How This Review Was Compiled

Sources include Impulse Gamer’s scored review (4.9), Gaming Nexus’s optics-focused writeup, ZDNET reviewer Matthew Miller’s hands-on, Pete Matheson’s travel-and-media review, Analog Stick Gaming’s gaming test, and VITURE’s own product page. Reviewers disagree most on edge clarity, so both the majority view and the dissent are reported below.

The Field of View: Why the Beast Exists

The defining change is optical. Gaming Nexus explains that the Beast drops the birdbath lenses used in earlier VITURE glasses in favor of flat, prism-style lenses to achieve a larger view, and the result is a recorded 58-degree field of view that VITURE and reviewers describe as the widest in its consumer XR class — a step up from the Luma’s 52 degrees and marginally wider than the XREAL One Pro. Impulse Gamer confirms the framing, noting VITURE describes the Beast as having the widest field of view in its product class at 58 degrees, and pairs it with an ultrawide mode that lets you spread multiple app windows around you and switch between them by turning your head.

The consistent trade-off is edge quality. Impulse Gamer was blunt that HUD-heavy games are troubling: the reviewer described peripheral HUD elements as blurry — “a fuzzy world halo-ing my beautiful clear cone” — and found games with significant HUD elements, from mini-maps to Disco Elysium on a Steam Deck, eye-straining. Gaming Nexus similarly noted that edges and corners get a little muddy and flagged a bottom-edge reflection visible periodically during video. Not everyone agreed on the severity: ZDNET’s Matthew Miller found the field of view fantastic and clear along the edges, so the crowdsourced record here is genuinely split, and fit likely accounts for some of the difference.

Display, Brightness, and the Firmware Caveat

Brightness is a consensus strength: at a recorded 1,250 nits the Beast is bright enough that reviewers routinely ran it below maximum, with Impulse Gamer noting they had to dim it after an hour to reduce eye strain. The important honesty note from the record is resolution: at review time the panels displayed 1080p, with full 1200p resolution promised in a later firmware update rather than shipping enabled — a caveat any buyer comparing on paper should weigh.

Comfort and Build

At a recorded 88 grams the Beast is among the heavier display glasses — roughly on par with the XREAL One Pro — yet reviewers report wearing it for long stretches without it feeling heavy, crediting a light, airy balance, while noting the frame sits deeper on the face than you might expect. The build itself draws praise as premium, with the electrochromic dimming and 3DoF tracking treated as genuine hardware advantages rather than marketing.

Value

At $549 the Beast is, in Impulse Gamer’s words, not cheap — but the same review argues it is less expensive than any equivalent big screen it could think of, and dramatically cheaper than an Apple Vision Pro. The aggregate advice: buyers who specifically want the widest, brightest view and the ultrawide multi-window mode get a device with no direct equal, while those who mostly watch single-screen media can spend less on a narrower pair. Like all display glasses, the Beast has no onboard battery and draws power from the host device, which is why its battery score reflects category convention rather than a standalone runtime.

Who Should Buy the VITURE Beast

Per the aggregated consensus: buyers who want the widest field of view in consumer XR, brightness that comfortably beats ambient light, and an ultrawide multi-window workspace for productivity and cinema. Who should skip: HUD-heavy gamers bothered by soft peripheral text, buyers who want full 1200p enabled out of the box rather than via a promised firmware update, weight-sensitive users who prefer the lighter Luma XR, and anyone shopping purely on price who does not need the extra-wide view.

Scores are aggregates of the cited reviews, not AR Compare hands-on results.
