The BirdiLens GV1 is a golf head-up display in sunglasses form: yardages to the front, center, and back of the green, hazard carries, and a suggested putt line float in view while you address the ball, drawing on course data BirdiLens claims for more than 40,000 courses. The display is a single-color green Micro-LED shown to both eyes -- 640x480 pixels at up to 2,000 nits, which is how bright the screen can get (1,000+ holds up in daylight). BirdiLens' spec sheet lists 44 grams, Bluetooth 5.3 with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, magnetic USB-C charging, and 2 hours of display time from the 200mAh battery, so a full round means using the display in bursts. There is no camera. At $899.99 direct from BirdiLens, the store showed sold out with a notify-me form when we checked (October 7, 2026).

- Course coverage BirdiLens puts at 40,000+ courses worldwide through its app
- Bright enough to claim daylight use: up to 2,000 nits on a monochrome green Micro-LED

- 44 grams with a die-cast magnesium-aluminum front and beta-titanium temples, per BirdiLens
Cons
- 2 hours of display time per the spec sheet -- a full round means rationing the display
- $899.99 is flagship-glasses money for a single-sport device
- Sold out at BirdiLens' own store when we checked (October 7, 2026), with no other retail path
- BirdiLens' own pages disagree with themselves on field of view (40 vs 30 degrees) and battery (2 vs 3-4 hours) -- we show the formal spec-sheet figures
- Young company (founded 2025) selling direct only -- support and parts depend on them staying around
