Google Gemini on your face from a major PC brand: voice help, live translation, captions, and image recognition, per the announcement · 4 pros & 4 cons

The Acer AI Glasses GI0 are Acer's camera-equipped AI glasses, unveiled at Computex 2026 as the assistant half of its two-glasses lineup (the wired GR0 is the screen half). They run Google Gemini for voice help, live translation, captions, and image recognition -- Acer's differentiator against Ray-Ban Meta is the Google assistant plus onboard storage. Acer announced a $299.99 starting price with US and Europe availability in the fourth quarter of 2026. Launch coverage of the announcement describes a 12MP camera, 32GB of storage, three microphones, and phone pairing on Android and iOS. Acer's own product page wasn't reachable for verification when we checked, so beyond the camera's presence, the figures live in the answers below with their sources rather than in the spec table.
