No camera and no screen by design -- an AI companion that cannot photograph anyone · 5 pros & 4 cons

VONDER Intelligent Eyewear comes from Viture's co-founders and bets the other way from Ray-Ban Meta: no camera and no display, just an AI assistant, stereo speakers, and your thoughts captured by voice into searchable notes. The six acetate frames -- city names like Basel, Oslo, and Antwerp -- are built as real prescription eyewear first, covering single vision, progressive, and Transitions lenses, at 30 grams with 16+ hours of battery and a 25-minute fast charge to 80%. The assistant is model-agnostic: pick between leading AIs, with a Personal Memory Graph VONDER says stays yours and can be erased at any time. Pre-orders are open at $299 for the Basel (premium frames from $399); VONDER hasn't published a ship date on its site, so we don't show one.
