Maker-claimed dual-lens full-color HUD — an optically perceived 100-inch data screen for sports metrics · 4 pros & 4 cons

The QIDI Vida is a sports AR HUD that never reached retail. QIDI's own launch release (April 2024) claimed a dual-lens full-color data display — an "optically perceived 100-inch" AR HUD — showing navigation, speed, heart rate, power and cadence while riding, plus eSIM-based team voice chat, fall and collision detection, onboard temperature/humidity/UV/air-pressure sensors, GPX route support, ties to Garmin, Wahoo, Apple and Samsung hardware and the Strava/Zwift app world, and voice-controlled photo and video capture. The Kickstarter funded at $439,226 from 1,006 backers in June 2024, then shipping slipped with an on-record apology for optical-display problems; the campaign's last update is dated November 2024, the maker's own product domain no longer resolves, and no retailer has ever stocked it. The record keeps QIDI's claims as claims: no weight, battery, waterproof rating, resolution or price was ever published.
